A Look Back, 30 Upstairs Group Show

March 8, 2014

I have a video and a drawing installed in a group show called A Look Back which will be on for 3-4 months in the office.

The group show includes work by artists who have previously shown at the gallery. It provides a snapshot of the past programme and starts some new conversations between artworks. A plasma screen shows a number of video works that have been exhibited back-to-back and there is also a salon hang by Rob Cherry.

It is definitely worth checking out if you are visiting the gallery!

A web version of the video work is now live! You will be able to see what I see during the process of making two 1700 X 950 paintings. To get the best view enter full screen and change the settings to 1080p HD.

The video is made from still images of two 1700 X 950 mm paintings in the exhibition at various stages of completion. The subject matter is the exhibition space and furniture at 30 Upstairs.
